Museums and Cultural Activities

The Michelin Adventure offers both a thematic and chronological exhibition dedicated to the past, present, and future of the Michelin Group. The museum space is designed for all audiences as an entertaining and engaging experience.

Built at the beginning of the 20th century, the Bargoin Museum houses two departments: one dedicated to archaeology, from prehistory to the Gallo-Roman period, and the other to carpets and textile arts in their greatest diversity.

A major cultural landmark in Clermont-Ferrand, the MARQ presents its collections across six levels (all areas of fine arts are represented: painting, sculpture, decorative arts, photography, and graphic arts), from the medieval period to contemporary creation.

The Henri Lecoq Museum is the oldest museum in Clermont-Ferrand. Today, it houses nearly 650,000 objects and specimens related to botany, geology, mineralogy, paleontology, zoology, and the history of science and technology.

Located in the heart of Clermont-Ferrand’s historic district, the Auvergne Regional Contemporary Art Fund (FRAC) presents contemporary art exhibitions (painting, sculpture, video, photography) throughout the year.
